1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Alibi Game ("the Game"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Game.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Alibi Game. By using the Game you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these terms on your behalf.

3. Accounts

• You may play as a guest (no account required) or sign in via a third-party provider (Google, etc.) through Clerk.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account.
• You may not share, sell, or transfer your account to another person.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use cheats, exploits, automation, bots, or any unauthorized third-party software to gain an unfair advantage
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, modify, or tamper with the game servers or client
• Harass, abuse, or threaten other players
• Impersonate other users or Alibi Game staff
• Use the service in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international law
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or game data

5. Fair Play

Alibi Game is a competitive bluffing game. Intentional disconnections to avoid a loss, ELO manipulation through coordinated wins/losses with another account, or any form of match fixing are prohibited and may result in account suspension.

6. Intellectual Property

All content in Alibi Game — including game design, graphics, code, and text — is owned by or licensed to the operators of Alibi Game. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without explicit permission. Your account data and game statistics remain yours; we do not claim ownership of user-generated content such as display names or avatars.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Game is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. Use at your own risk.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Alibi Game and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the Game, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past twelve months (which for free users is $0).

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Game at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. You may stop using the Game at any time.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will indicate the date of the most recent update at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Game after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved in the jurisdiction where the operators are located.
